Almonds (or any nuts for that matter) are a favorite little snack of mine :) and good for you! I like to buy them raw and roast them. It’s very simple and the flavor possibilities are endless.

What You Need:

  1. one 12oz bag of raw (skin on) almonds
  2. two tbs. unsalted butter
  3. two tsp. sugar
  4. two tsp. sea salt
  5. one tsp. ground cumin
  6. 1 tbs extra virgin olive oil

pre-heat oven to 400’

Wok It Out!

The "Stir Fry" sounds complicated…LIES!

  I was lucky enough to receive a wok as a gift a while ago, and literally use the shit out of it. Its a great, fast way to cook a meal. Invest in one ASAP! Seriously!

Here’s a great way to stir fry up some veggies:

*if wok-less then a regular non-stick skillet would be best*

  Heat your wok on medium-high heat. Add in one table spoon of Sesame Oil (or any oil your prefer) and a mixture of your favorite veggies (cut into roughly the same size).

*I used Cauliflower, Carrots, Broccoli, Zucchini and Red Onions*

After cooking for about 7min, add in 1/2 cup of Chicken Broth, 2 tablespoons of Gluten Free Soy Sauce, a tablespoon of Honey and a squeeze of fresh Lime Juice. For some heat add in as much Crushed Red Pepper Flakes as needed. Bring to a boil for about 3min, or until sauce has thickened.

You can serve it over rice or its DELICIOUS just as is.

Eggs, not just for eating…

  You all know my obsession with skin care. So here’s another easy tip for you all that is ridiculously easy and great for your face! Just open up your fridge for these simple Facial Masks.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 egg. (preferably organic)

  In two small bowls separate the whites from the yolk. Beat the whites with a fork until frothy and foamy (about 5 min). With your fingers spread the mixture all over your (clean) face. Let dry, you’ll know when it’s done because it will tighten and be somewhat hard to smile :)

Rinse off with warm water.

Bubbles!

   Words can not even express how excited I am right now (seriously, I might pass out). Champagne, a HUGE love of mine might actually be good for your Brain?! Crazy I know, but I don’t give a shit:)

  It turns out that each bottle of bubbly is jam packed with antioxidants, which help protect cells from death, destruction and things like cancer! I’m taking this as a personal duty to give my body as much power and protection as possible. It’s never too late for a Mimosa!

I’ve recently gotten back on “the healthy train”, and am trying to make the ride as UN-BORING as possible. If you’re anything like me you would find the candy “purge” the hardest part :(

Pop It Up!

   I eat popcorn almost every night. It’s a great little snack and actually NOT horrible for you at all :) I like to jazz mine up with sea salt, cracked pepper and garlic powder for a little extra kick.

  In the mood for something sweet? Try adding some cinnamon, sea salt and powdered sugar when still hot. Toss together and serve.
